The cars are equipped with electric windows for lowering and raising the front door windows (figure 9.8). In the window lift mechanism, instead of the gear reducer used in mechanical window lifters, there is only a drum, into the hole of which the output shaft of the gear motor is inserted. The gear motor consists of a worm gear and a DC electric motor with excitation from permanent magnets. The gear motor is reversible, the direction of rotation of the output shaft depends on the direction of the current in the armature winding. To protect against overloads, it is equipped with a built-in thermal bimetallic fuse.
The gear motors are switched on by switches located on the armrest handles.
