Manual Transmission Reference Data (Vesta 2180)

The manual transmission is a five-speed, two-shaft, combined with the main gear and differential into a single unit. The gearbox housing is made of aluminum and consists of two parts. The gearbox and clutch housing are made as a single unit.

The shafts in the gearbox are supported by ball bearings. The main transmission pinion is made integral with the secondary shaft.

The differential is a two-satellite type and rotates on tapered roller bearings.

The gear shift mechanism is cable-operated - the gear shift mechanism is connected to the gearbox lever by two flexible rods (sheathed cables).



This eliminates the transmission of vibration from the power unit to the gear shift lever.

The gearbox is a technically complex unit, which should be repaired at a specialized service station.
