The engine does not develop power (the warning lamp for a malfunction of the engine management system may light up, see above)
1. The quality of gasoline or its octane number is lower than required. Drain the gasoline from the tank and fill the car with high-quality fuel. You can try to increase the octane number of gasoline with a special additive.
2. Air filter clogged. Replace air filter element (see «Air filter - filter element replacement»).
3. Faulty throttle position sensor. Run diagnostics on the engine management system (see «Engine management system»), and if necessary, replace the throttle position sensor (see «Throttle assembly - removal, gasket replacement and installation»).
4. Faulty absolute pressure sensor or air temperature sensor in the intake manifold. Run diagnostics on the engine management system (see «Engine management system»). Check and, if necessary, replace the defective part (see «Absolute pressure and air temperature sensor - replacement»).
5. Faulty engine management system. To determine the malfunction, perform diagnostics of the engine management system (see «Engine management system»). Replace defective elements.
6. Wedging of working cylinders of brake mechanisms. Check the technical condition of the brake system (see «Brake system - check of technical condition»). Replace defective parts.
7. Insufficient compression in the engine cylinders. Check the technical condition of the engine (see «Engine - condition check»). Repair the engine by replacing worn and defective parts. Temporarily, you can try to increase the compression with the help of special additives to engine oil.
8. The system of release of the fulfilled gases is faulty. Check the technical condition of the system (see «Check of a technical condition of system of release of the fulfilled gases») and replace defective parts.
9. Leakage (burnout) gas distribution valves (see «Engine - condition check»). Remove the cylinder head, check the valves for leaks. Rub the valves. Replace defective valves or cylinder head.
On a car with a manual transmission, the clutch slips (the engine speed increases, but the car does not accelerate)
1. Oil getting on the working surfaces of the clutch working disc. Inspect the clutch housing. If there are oil leaks, remove the clutch, check the crankshaft and gearbox oil seals. Replace defective parts and oily clutch disc (or replace the clutch assembly). Remove oil drips, degrease the working surfaces of the clutch discs and flywheel.
2. Strong wear, warping or burning of clutch disc linings (see «Clutch - condition check»). Replace clutch disc or clutch assembly (see «Clutch - replacement»),
3. Clutch slips. Check technical «clutch position (see «Clutch - condition check»). Remove the clutch, check the wear parts. Replace defective parts.
On a car with an automated transmission, sawing slips (the engine speed increases, but the car does not accelerate)
1. Oil getting on the working surfaces of the working cheek of the clutch. Inspect the clutch housing. When pressing oil drips, remove the clutch, check the crankshaft and gearbox oil seals. Replace defective parts and oily clutch disc (or replace the clutch assembly). Remove streaks of pastel, degrease the working surfaces of the clutch discs and flywheel.
2. Strong wear, warping or burning of the slip of the clutch disc (see «Clutch - condition check»). Replace clutch disc or clutch assembly (see «Clutch - replacement»).
3. Clutch slips. Check the technical condition of the clutch (see «Clutch - condition check»). Remove the clutch, check the wear parts. Replace defective parts.
4. Incomplete engagement of the clutch. Check the clutch release motor. Replace the faulty actuator or defective parts of the clutch release actuator.
