Driving the vehicle away from straight ahead (on a straight stretch of road without a slope)
1. Different pressure in the tires of the front wheels. Check and adjust tire pressure (see «Checking tire pressure»).
2. Different degree of wear of the tires of the front wheels. Check tire condition (see «Checking the technical condition of discs, tires and hubs»). Replace worn tires. If necessary, rearrange the wheels so that tires with the same degree of wear are on the same axle.
3. Different stiffness or breakage of the front suspension springs. Check the technical condition of the front suspension (see «Checking the technical condition of the front suspension») and troubleshoot.
4. Different stiffness or breakage of one of the rear suspension springs. Check the technical condition of the rear suspension (see «Checking the technical condition of the rear suspension»), replace the springs as a set.
5. The adjustment of the wheel alignment angles is broken. Have the wheel alignment checked and adjusted by a specialist workshop.
6. Braking one of the wheels of the car. Check the technical condition of the brake system (see «Brake system - check of technical condition»). Replace defective parts.
Vehicle pulling away from straight line when braking
1. Different pressure in the tires of the front wheels. Check tire pressure (see «Checking tire pressure»), if necessary, bring the pressure to normal.
2. Puncture or malfunction of the tire nipple of one of the front wheels. Replace nipple or replace wheel. Check and adjust tire pressure (see «Checking tire pressure»),
3. One of the brake mechanisms is faulty. Check the technical condition of the brake system (see «Brake system - check of technical condition»). Replace defective parts.
4. The hose or pipeline of one of the brake mechanisms is pinched. Check the technical condition of the brake system (see «Brake system - check of technical condition»). Replace defective parts.
5. Different degree of wear of parts of the brake mechanisms of one of the axles of the car. Check the technical condition of the brake system (see «Brake system - check of technical condition»). Replace unevenly worn brake discs and brake pads.
6. Faulty anti-lock brake system (ABS). Determine system status by reading ABS fault codes using dedicated diagnostic equipment (see «Engine management system»). Eliminate the identified problem.
7. The vehicle is overloaded or unevenly loaded. When transporting cargo, do not exceed the permissible axle load of the vehicle indicated on the marking plate (see «Identification numbers of vehicles and units»), Distribute the load evenly.
Decreased vehicle handling
1. Steering rod joints are worn out. Check the technical condition of the steering (see «Steering - condition check»). Replace defective and worn parts.
2. Worn out steering shaft hinges. Check the technical condition of the steering (see «Steering - condition check»). Replace defective and worn parts.
3. Worn front wheel hub bearings. Check the technical condition of the wheel hubs (see «Checking the technical condition of discs, tires and hubs»). Replace defective parts.
4. Backlash in the steering mechanism. Check the technical condition of the steering (see «Steering - condition check»). Replace defective and worn parts.
5. Faulty front suspension shock absorbers. Check the condition of the front suspension (see «Checking the technical condition of the front suspension»).
6. Faulty rear shock absorbers (see «Checking the technical condition of the rear suspension»). Check the condition of the rear suspension. Replace defective shock absorbers as a set (see «Rear shock absorbers - replacement»),
