The car door does not open with the key
1. Water has frozen in the door lock cylinder (at an ambient temperature below 0°C). Treat the locks with penetrating lubricant (see "Lubrication of hinges and locks").
2. The door lock cylinder is dirty. Blow out with compressed air and lubricate the door lock. If necessary, replace the faulty part (see "Door lock - removal, installation and adjustment").
3. The door lock is faulty. Replace the defective part (see "Door lock - removal, installation and adjustment", "Trunk lock - removal and installation").
The doors do not lock in the closed position
Seizure of moving parts of door locks due to dirt or lack of lubrication. Lubricate the body locks and hinges (see "Lubrication of hinges and locks").
The hood lock does not open
1. Breakage of the hood lock drive rod. Replace the faulty part.
