Difficulty starting a cold engine (the engine control system malfunction indicator lamp may light up)
1. The battery is discharged or the electrolyte level is insufficient. Check the condition of the battery, charge it, replace the faulty one (see «Accumulator battery»). After connecting the terminals, coat them and the battery terminals with a special compound or any grease.
2. Elements of the fuel supply system are faulty. Check the pressure in the fuel supply system (see «Power system - check of technical condition») and replace defective parts.
3. Defective coolant temperature sensor of the engine management system. Run diagnostics on the engine management system (see «Engine management system»). Check the coolant temperature sensor, replace the defective one.
4. Faulty engine management system. Run diagnostics on the engine management system (see «Engine management system»). Replace defective elements.

1. Air filter clogged. Replace air filter element (see «Air filter - filter element replacement»),
