Seat belts
Seat belts are an effective means of protecting the driver and passengers from serious injuries in road accidents. Therefore, when driving a Lada Kalina, be sure to wear a seat belt and do not transport passengers who are not wearing seat belts.
Seat belts on the front seats. The Lada Kalina car is equipped with seat belts on the front seats with inertia reels. The seat belts on the front seats have height adjustment for the upper anchor point.
To fasten the seat belt, pull it out of the reel and insert the buckle tongue into the lock until it clicks, without allowing the straps to twist.
To unfasten the seat belt, press the buckle button while holding the belt. Release the seat belt - it will automatically rewind onto the reel.
To prevent the seat belt from touching your neck or putting pressure on your shoulder, adjust the height of the top point. To move the mount vertically, press the decorative seat belt cover against the pillar.
Seat belts in the rear seats. Rear seat passengers are also equipped with inertia reel seat belts.
The middle passenger is provided with a specially designed seat belt with two buckles and two locks.
To fasten the middle seat belt, insert the buckle tongue into the black button buckle until it clicks into place.
Then insert the tongue of the second buckle into the lock with the red button, located closer to the center of the Lada Kalina car.
To unfasten the seat belt, press the lock button with the red button - the seat belt will automatically return to its original position.
Airbags
In a variant version, airbags are installed on the Lada Kalina VAZ 1118 car. The airbag serves as an additional means of protection for a person wearing a seat belt and is activated during a frontal impact of the vehicle. The airbag does not deploy when the Lada Kalina VAZ 1118 vehicle rolls over, or in rear or side impacts, or in frontal impacts of insufficient force.
Installing a child seat
On the Lada Kalina VAZ 1118 car, standard seat belts are used to secure child seats.
Safe placement of children in the Lada Kalina car is possible only with the use of special child seats.
When installing a child seat, follow the instructions supplied with it and the data in the table. 1.3.
