To fasten your seat belt (pic. 13), gently pull it out of the spool by grasping the strap tongue (pic. 14a), and insert the tab 2 into the buckle 1 until it clicks, taking care not to twist the bands. If there is no click, the seat belt will not be fastened properly. Make sure that the belt tongue is secured in the appropriate buckle. Make sure the waist band of the belt fits snugly around your hips. The lap part of the belt is not allowed to pass around the waist or under the hips. To unfasten the seat belt, press the red buckle button, after which the belt will automatically retract into the reel. If the retraction of the seat belt is not effective enough, hold the tongue of the belt in your hand and find the position of the belt in which it is completely wound on the reel.
Attention! To prevent damage to the seat belt webbing when closing the vehicle door, do not get out of the vehicle without making sure that the webbing is fully retracted into its original position. The seat belt, if the tape is damaged, may be unsuitable for further use.
In a variant version, the seat belts of the front seats have an adjustment of the position of the upper attachment point in height. To adjust the seat belt, press the belt guide 1 (pic. 14b) and by moving it, select one of the five fixed positions. Adjust the height so that the belt is as high as possible without touching the neck.
In a variant version, the car is equipped with front seat belts with a pretensioner and a load limiter located in the front seat belt reels. These systems increase the effectiveness of seat belts in protecting the driver and front passenger in a frontal collision.
Rear side passengers are fastened with seat belts in the same way as the front ones. For the rear middle passenger, a belt of a special design is provided - with two tongues. When operating the vehicle, the seat belt for the rear middle passenger must be in the position where the lower tongue is inserted into the mini-lock (pic. 14c), except when the rear seat folds out for cargo. Fastening the seat belt for the rear middle passenger is similar to the seat belts for the rear side passengers.
In the absence of medical contraindications, pregnant women should use seat belts according to the following scheme: the lap part of the belt should cover the hips, passing well below the abdomen, the shoulder belt should pass in the middle of the chest, bending around the stomach from above and to the side.
Warning!
- When driving a car, be sure to fasten your seat belt and do not transport passengers who are not wearing seat belts!
- Pregnant women should never place the lap belt on the area of the abdomen where the fetus is located or above the abdomen!
- If the straps are dirty, clean them with a mild soapy solution. Air dry the straps without heating them. Ironing the straps with an iron is not allowed.
- The pretensioners work regardless of whether the seat belt is buckled or not.
- Unauthorized intervention in the design of seat belts is prohibited. All troubleshooting work must be carried out only on certified SSSS by specially trained personnel. The seat belt must be replaced if it has been heavily stressed in an accident or is damaged.
- Do not fasten seat belts in any other way than the instructions in this manual (do not place the diagonal part of the belt behind your back or seatback, do not place the lap part of the belt under your hips or seat cushion, etc.).
