Your vehicle uses the standard adult seat belts to secure child restraints.

Safe placement of children in a car is only possible when using child restraint systems that meet the requirements of the European standard ECE R44.

When selecting a child restraint system, it is necessary to be guided by the information provided in Table 1 "Child restraint system installation diagram".

The installation and operation of the child restraint system must be carried out in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer of the child restraint system.

Warnings!

  • 2. It is prohibited to hold a child on your lap while the vehicle is moving.
  • 3. The safest way to transport children under 12 years of age is in the back seat, using child restraints appropriate to the child's age and weight.
  • 4. Before installing a child restraint system in the rear middle passenger seat (for model 2191) the rear middle passenger seat belt should be in a position where the lower tongue is inserted into the mini-buckle (figure 14b), then follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of the child restraint system.

Installing ISOFIX child restraints

As an option, your vehicle is equipped with ISOFIX mounting systems located on the rear seats, which allow the installation of child restraint systems with ISOFIX mountings that comply with the requirements of the European standard ECE R44 (for children weighing no more than 18 kg).

The ISOFIX mounting system consists of two lower ISOFIX brackets and a bracket for the ISOFIX upper tether strap.

The lower ISOFIX brackets, to which the corresponding ISOFIX child restraint system anchorages are attached, are located at the base of the rear seat backrest. Their locations are marked on the back with round pictograms . Before connecting the ISOFIX child restraint system anchors, it is necessary to clear the area where the lower ISOFIX brackets are located by positioning the rear seat belt buckles along the joint line between the rear seat cushion and backrest.

ISOFIX top tether bracket with markings and , located on the rear shelf behind the corresponding seat (for model 2190) or at the bottom of the rear seat back on the luggage compartment side (for model 2191). After securing the ISOFIX top tether, adjust its tension according to the ISOFIX child restraint system manufacturer's instructions.

When selecting an ISOFIX child restraint system, please refer to the information in Table 1a "ISOFIX child restraint system installation diagram". An ISOFIX child restraint system may only be installed in your vehicle if it complies with the requirements of the European standard ECE R44.

When selecting an ISOFIX child restraint system, please refer to the information in Table 1a…
  • IUF: The seat is suitable for installing a "universal" ISOFIX child restraint system of the given size class.
  • X: The location is not suitable for installing an ISOFIX child restraint system.

  • ** At the date of publication, the recommended child seat for this ISOFIX size class is "Britax Romer Baby Safe".

Warning!
  • When installing the ISOFIX child restraint system, ensure that the anchors integrated into the ISOFIX child restraint system do not damage the rear seat belt webbing.
  • The ISOFIX child restraint system must be used in accordance with the ISOFIX child restraint system manufacturer's instructions.
