Removal and installation the electric motor of the fan of the heating and ventilation system (Kalina 1118)

To remove and install the electric motor of the fan of the heating and ventilation system of the passenger compartment in a car, you will need: flat-head and Phillips-head screwdrivers.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the instrument panel (see "Removal and installation the instrument panel").



3. Remove the spring clip...



4. ...and disconnect the recirculation flap drive rod from the heater electric fan housing.



5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the terminals of the heating system electric fan.





6. Pry up the cover of the additional resistor of the interior heater and remove it.



7. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the terminals of the additional resistor.



8. Remove the screws securing the heater fan housing to the crossmember panel brackets located on the left side...



9. ...and on the right side...





10. ...and also from below.

11. Remove the heater electric fan housing from the instrument panel.



12. Remove the ventilation hose of the brush assembly of the interior heater fan motor.



13. Unscrew the three mounting screws and remove the interior heater fan motor from its housing.

14. Install the interior heater fan motor on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
