To prevent the battery from being discharged by the heating element left on when the engine is not running, the heating can only be turned on when the ignition is on. For this purpose, power is supplied to the rear window heating switch via an additional relay (ignition relay) K4, triggered when the ignition is turned on.
Power to the rear window heating element is supplied via fuse F15, which is directly connected to the power supplies.
If the rear window heating does not heat up when turned on, check fuse F15, wires and their connections, as well as switch and relay K10.
Mounting block: K1 - place for installing the headlight washer relay; K2 - window lifter circuit switching relay; KZ - starter relay; K4 - additional relay (ignition switch relay); K5 - relay for turning on direction indicators and hazard warning lights; K6 - windshield washer and wiper relay; K7 - high beam headlight relay; K8 - sound signal relay; K9 - front fog lights relay; K10 - rear window heating relay; K11 - relay for switching on the front seat heating circuit; K12 - place for backup relay; F1-F32 - fuses (circuits protected by pin-type fuses are listed in Table. 9.3)
