Battery Charging Circuit (except for the excitation winding), the ignition and engine start circuits are not protected by fuses.
Before replacing a blown fuse, find out the cause of the blown fuse and fix it. When troubleshooting, it is recommended to review the circuits (tab. 9.3), protected by this fuse.
Replacing fuses and relays in the mounting block
Location of relays and fuses in the mounting block:
- K1 - a place for installing a headlight washer relay;
- K2 - relay for switching on the power window circuit;
- KZ - starter enable relay;
- K4 - additional relay (ignition relay);
- K5 - relay for turning on direction indicators and alarms;
- K6 - relay for turning on the washer and windshield wiper;
- K7 - high beam headlight relay;
- K8 - relay for turning on the sound signal;
- K9 - relay for turning on the front fog lights;
- K10 - relay for turning on the heating of the rear window;
- K11 - relay for switching on the front seat heating circuit;
- K12 - a place for a backup relay;
- F1-F32 - fuses (circuits protected by pin-type fuses are shown in Table. 9.3)
Electrical devices that consume high current during operation are connected through relays that protect the contacts of the switches from overload.
To replace pin fuses and relays, special plastic tweezers 1 and 2 are provided in the mounting block (see photo).
1. Open the cover of the mounting block, overcoming the resistance of the latches, hook the fuse with tweezers and remove it from the connector.
2. Install a fuse of the same rating as the removed one into the connector.
3. Remove the relay in the same way with tweezers.
4. Install the relay of the same type as the one removed.
