Removal and installation the hood lock and safety hook (Kalina 1118)

To remove and install the hood lock and hood lock safety hook on a car, you will need: a 13 mm wrench, a slotted screwdriver, and pliers.



1. Loosen the hood pin lock nut...



2. ...unscrew the hood pin...



3. ...and remove it together with the spring, locknut and washer.



4. Unscrew the two nuts securing the hood safety hook studs.





5. Remove the hood safety hook.



6. Remove the hood lock rod casing tip from the bracket on the body...



7. ...and then disengage the hood lock drive rod end from the lock spring.



8. Remove the spring tip from the hole...





9. ...and remove the hood lock spring from the hole.

10. Install the hood lock in the reverse order of removal.
