Comment. The work is shown on a car with a stamped steel oil pan. On vehicles with manual gearbox, the oil pan is made of aluminum alloy. The pallet is fixed with bolts of different lengths. During disassembly, it is necessary to mark the location of the long bolts so that they can be installed in their places during assembly.
Removing
1. Remove the engine mudguard (see «Mudguard of the engine - removal and installation»).
2. Drain the oil from the engine (see «Engine oil and oil filter - change»).
3. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three bolts and remove the bottom cover of the clutch housing (in the photo the third bolt is not visible, it is closed with a bracket).
Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the 16 bolts securing the engine crankcase.
Comment. Figured washers are installed under the heads of the pallet bolts - do not lose them.
5. Remove the pan and pan gasket.
Installation
We install the pallet in the reverse order, replacing the damaged or lost elasticity gasket.
To evenly distribute the gasket, we wrap the crankcase mounting bolts in the direction from the middle to the edges.
