Warning! Brake discs are replaced in pairs, in both front wheel brake mechanisms at once.
Recommendation. We strongly recommend that when replacing brake discs, you also replace the brake pads (see "Front brake pads - replacement").
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the front wheel (see "Wheel replacement").
3. Remove the front brake pads (see "Front brake pads - replacement").
4. Using an 18 mm wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the caliper bracket to the steering knuckle.
5. Remove the brake shoe guide.
6. Hang the front brake mechanism on a cord or wire to the front suspension strut without disconnecting the brake hose from it.
7. Using a mounting blade to hold the disc from rotating, use a TORX T40 key to unscrew the two screws securing the brake disc.
8. If necessary, tap the brake disc.
Warning! Do not strike the working surface of the disc with a hammer!
9. Remove the brake disc from the hub.
10. Clean the disc seat on the hub from dirt and rust.
11. Install all removed parts in reverse order. Apply anaerobic thread lock to the caliper bracket mounting bolts. Before installing the front wheel, treat the brake disc with brake cleaner.
12. Press the brake pedal several times to adjust the brake pads.
