Warning! Brake discs are replaced in pairs, in both front wheel brakes at once.
Recommendation. We strongly recommend that when replacing brake discs, also replace the brake pads (see «Front brake pads - replacement»).
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the front wheel (see «Wheel replacement»).
3. Remove the front brake pads (see «Front brake pads - replacement»).
4. Using an 18 mm wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the caliper bracket to the steering knuckle.
5. Remove the shoe guide.
6. We hang the front brake mechanism on a cord or wire to the front suspension strut without disconnecting the brake hose from it.
7. Holding the disk from rotation with a mounting blade, use the TORX T40 key to unscrew the two screws securing the brake disk.
8. If necessary, tap the brake disc.
Warning! Hammer blows on the working surface of the disk are not allowed!
9. Remove the brake disc from the hub.
10. We clean the disc seat on the hub from dirt and rust.
11. Install all removed parts in reverse order. We apply an anaerobic thread locker to the bolts of the caliper bracket. Before installing the front wheel, we treat the brake disc with a brake cleaner.
12. Press the brake pedal several times to self-adjust the brake pads.
