Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air filter and its air duct (see "Air filter - removal and installation").
3. Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the two bolts securing the left side of the electric fan casing to the radiator (for clarity, the upper radiator hose has been removed in the photo).

4. Under the bottom of the car, disconnect the wiring harness block from the electric fan and disconnect the wiring harness block of the additional resistor (see above, "Additional electric fan resistor - checking and replacing").

5. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two nuts on the right side of the fan casing (the top nut is not visible in the photo).

6. Carefully remove the electric fan from the engine compartment.

Disassembly
1. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three nuts securing the electric motor to the casing.

2. Remove the electric motor from the casing.
3. If necessary, use a 10 mm open-end wrench to loosen the fan impeller mounting nut and remove the impeller from the electric motor shaft.

Warning. A metal balancing bracket can be installed on the impeller. Don't delete it.
Assembly and installation
We assemble and install the electric fan in the reverse order.
