Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Pry it up with a thin slotted screwdriver...
...and remove the cap of the windshield wiper arm mounting nut.
3. Using a 16 mm wrench, unscrew the nuts securing the windshield wiper arm.
4. Remove the windshield wiper arm from the drive shaft.
5. Remove the second wiper arm in the same way.
6. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the mounting bolt...
...and remove the side panel.
7. Similarly, remove the trim from the opposite side of the car.
8. Using a TORXT20 wrench, unscrew two side mounting bolts.
9. Disengage the air intake grille from the glass and remove it.
10. Remove the gasket from the right brush shaft.
11. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring block from the gear motor.
12. Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the three mounting bolts.
13. Remove the windshield wiper linkage.
14. To replace the gear motor, use a 13 mm wrench to unscrew the nut securing the lever 1. Use a slotted screwdriver with a wide blade to pry up and remove the crank from the splines of the gear motor shaft. Use a TORX T20 wrench to unscrew the three mounting bolts 2 and remove the gear motor from the bracket.
Installation
Warning! Before assembling the windshield wiper, make sure that the shaft of the new gear motor is in its original position.
1. To install the shaft of the new gear motor in its original position, connect the connector of its wiring harness to the corresponding connector on the car and briefly turn on the windshield wiper in intermittent mode. After the gear motor has completed a full cycle and stopped automatically, turn off the ignition and disconnect it from the vehicle's electrical circuit.
2. Install the crank on the motor-reducer shaft in accordance with the drawing.
3. Install the windshield wiper in reverse order.
