Attention!
- The low effort on the steering wheel provided by the electric power steering allows you to turn the steering wheel at high speed. At the same time, in the extreme positions, slight impacts of the rack travel limiter on the crankcase are possible, accompanied by a slight knock. To avoid damage to the crankcase of the steering mechanism, it is necessary to control the speed of rotation of the steering wheel in the extreme positions and not apply increased efforts when the rack rests against the limiter.
- It is not recommended to operate a vehicle with a faulty electric booster when the control indicator in the instrument cluster lights up.
- The cause of the malfunction of the electric booster must be established and eliminated as soon as possible at the vehicle manufacturer's sales network.
The electric booster does not work or may turn off in situations:
- when the car engine is not running;
- when the vehicle speed sensor is disabled;
- when the car is parked for a long time (more than 5 minutes) with a running internal combustion engine with a speed of more than 1500 rpm;
- when the voltage of the on-board network of the car decreases;
- at low idle speed of the car engine.
Such shutdowns are caused by the operation algorithm of the electric amplifier and are not signs of a malfunction.
