The vacuum check valve is located on the brake booster housing and is a regular one-way valve. It is designed to maintain a vacuum in the booster housing when the vacuum in the engine changes. To check the valve, it should be blown through from each side. Air should flow easily through the valve on the booster side and not through the engine side.
Removal
Place the vehicle in the work area, apply the parking brake and turn off the ignition.

Overcoming the locking resistance, remove the check valve 3, Figure 3-1, from the vacuum booster housing 4, while the rubber sealing ring should remain in the booster housing.
Squeeze the retainer and disconnect the tube 2 of the check valve from the fitting of the intake manifold 1 of the engine and remove the valve with the tube as an assembly.

Installation
Attention: Before installation, check the condition of the rubber sealing ring and the check valve. Replace defective parts.
Install the check valve into the brake booster housing.
Connect the check valve tube to the engine intake manifold. Check the efficiency of the service brake system.
