Removing
Set the car to a working post, brake with a parking brake and turn off the ignition.
Remove the brake light switch.
Disconnect the vacuum booster from the brake pedal, to do this, turn the locking flag of the connecting axle up and remove the axle from the holes of the pusher of the vacuum booster and the brake pedal.
Unscrew the nut 4, Figure 5-1, fastening the pedal axle 12, remove the spring washer 3, move the axle to the left until the brake pedal 2 is released and remove the pedal (wrench 13, interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench).
Remove the remote bushing 5 and two plastic bushings 6 from the pedal.
Installation
Check the condition of the brake pedal parts, replace defective parts.
Install two plastic bushings and a spacer bushing into the brake pedal.
Install the brake pedal in place, insert the axle of the clutch and brake pedals and secure the axle with a spring washer and nut. Nut tightening torque 16 Nm (1.6 kgf·m) (wrench 13, interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
Attention. The connecting axle between the pusher of the vacuum booster and the brake pedal must be replaced.
Connect the vacuum booster to the brake pedal, to do this, install a new connecting axle into the holes of the pusher of the booster and the brake pedal and snap the axle flag onto the pusher rod. The axis is set only by moving from right to left and from top to bottom. Before installing on the axle, apply MOLYCOTE ZZM grease in an amount of 1g (grease MOLYCOTE ZZM in accordance with the current "Codifier of the main and auxiliary materials used in the maintenance and repair of LADA vehicles" K 3100.25100.00018).
Install and adjust the brake light switch.
Check the efficiency of the service brake system.
