1. Remove the vacuum booster assembly with the pedal unit from the vehicle and remove the booster from the bracket (see "Removing and installing the vacuum booster").
2. Remove the locking bracket from the pedal axle.
3. Remove the pedal axle, take the pedal out of the bracket and remove the release spring from it.
4. Remove the bushings from both sides of the pedal. Check and replace broken or worn bushings. Please note: the bushings are split, which is not a defect.

5. Install the pedal in the reverse order of removal, having previously lubricated the bushings and pedal axle with Litol-24 or LSC-15 grease. Install the spring on the pedal axle on the right side so that its end a rests against the bracket, and end b is hooked onto the pedal lever.
