If necessary, remove the clutch pedal from the pedal assembly bracket.
If necessary, remove the brake pedal from the pedal assembly bracket.
Installation
If it was removed, install the clutch pedal on the pedal assembly bracket.
If it was removed, install the brake pedal on the pedal assembly bracket.
Install the pedal assembly in place and secure it to the bulkhead and vacuum booster with five nuts. Nut tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m) (interchangeable head 13, extension, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
For vehicles with a cable-operated clutch release, install and adjust the travel of the clutch release cable.
For vehicles with hydraulic clutch release, attach the clutch master cylinder head to the clutch pedal.
Attention. The connecting axle between the pusher of the vacuum booster and the brake pedal must be replaced.
Connect the vacuum booster to the brake pedal, to do this, install a new connecting axle into the holes of the pusher of the booster and the brake pedal and snap the axle flag onto the pusher rod. The axis is set only by moving from right to left and from top to bottom. Before installing on the axle, apply MOLYCOTE ZZM grease in an amount of 1g (grease MOLYCOTE ZZM in accordance with the current "Codifier of the main and auxiliary materials used in the maintenance and repair of LADA vehicles" K 3100.25100.00018).
Attention. Bolt and nut fastening the universal joint yoke of the intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear shaft must be replaced.
Install the intermediate steering shaft universal joint yoke on the steering gear shaft and secure it with a bolt and nut. Bolt tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m) (wrench 13, interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
Install and adjust the brake light switch.
Install the sound deadening pad and secure it with two spring washers (technological tube).
Check the efficiency of the service brake system.
