Removing
1. Having removed the cover, we select the coolant from the expansion tank with a hydrometer or rubber bulb.
Comment. You can partially drain the coolant (see «Coolant - replacement»). If we perform work to repair the cooling system or overhaul the engine, then the coolant should be completely drained.
2. Compressing the ends of the clamp with pliers, we move it along the steam outlet hose of the expansion tank.
3. Remove the steam outlet hose from the top pipe of the tank.
4. Similarly, disconnect the hose from the lower branch pipe of the expansion tank.
5. Using the TORX T30 key, unscrew the two expansion tank mounting bolts.
6. Remove the barrel from the bracket (removing the ledge of the tank from the groove of the bracket).
Installation
1. Install the tank in reverse order.
2. Fill the engine cooling system with liquid through the expansion tank (see above, «Coolant - replacement»), after which we make sure that there is no leakage of liquid at the joints. Tighten the hose clamps if necessary.
3. We start the engine and let it run for several minutes at a crankshaft speed of 2000-3000 min-1 to remove air from the cooling system.
4. Turn off the engine and check the coolant level in the expansion tank. If necessary, bring the level of fluid in the tank to normal.
