Removal
1. Partially drain the coolant (see p. 79, "Coolant - Replacement").
2. Disconnect the terminal from the negative and then from the positive terminal of the battery ("Battery - Removal and Installation") and move the wiring harness forward.
3. Disconnect the wire harness holder 1 from the body. Using an 8 mm socket wrench, loosen the two clamps 2 and disconnect the two hoses from the expansion tank pipes.

4. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew nut 1 of the rear mount of the expansion tank, and using an 8 mm wrench, unscrew bolt 2 of the lower mount of the tank.

5. Using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the nut of the front tank mount.

6. Remove the expansion tank and take it out.
Installation
1. Install the tank in the reverse order.
2. Fill the engine cooling system with liquid through the expansion tank (see 79, "Coolant - Replacement"), after which we make sure that there is no liquid leakage at the joints. If necessary, tighten the hose clamps.
3. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes at a crankshaft speed of 2000-3000 rpm to remove air from the cooling system.
4. Turn off the engine and check the coolant level in the expansion tank. If necessary, bring the fluid level in the tank up to normal.
