1. Remove the cap from the expansion tank. Unscrew the drain plug at the bottom of the right radiator tank and drain the fluid from it (see "Replacing the coolant",). Screw the drain plug back on.
Note: When draining the coolant from the radiator, almost all of the coolant from the expansion tank will also be drained.
2. Loosen the clamp securing the heater radiator steam outlet hose and remove the hose from the expansion tank fitting.
3. Similarly, remove the steam outlet hose of the cooling system radiator from the expansion tank fitting.
4. Loosen the filling hose clamp...
5. ...and disconnect the filling hose.
6. By moving the tank upwards and simultaneously removing its rear edge from the recess in the engine shield trim, remove it from the vehicle.
7. Drain the remaining coolant from the reservoir.

8. Install the expansion tank in the reverse order of removal.
9. Fill the cooling system with liquid (see "Replacing the coolant"). Tighten the expansion tank cap, start the engine, check for coolant leaks through the tank hose connections and warm up the engine at idle speed to operating temperature to remove air locks from the system.
