Removal
Note: The work is labor-intensive. In addition, the tight layout in the engine compartment makes the operation difficult. Access to the pump can be improved by installing a trolley jack under the engine and removing the left support of the power unit. When performing work, you can move the engine to a more convenient position to remove the pump from the cylinder block.
1. Drain the coolant (see "Coolant - Replacement").
2. Remove the rear timing belt cover (see "Timing Belt - Replacement").
3. Using a 5 mm Allen key, unscrew the three bolts securing the coolant pump.

4. If necessary, using a screwdriver, remove the pump and gasket from the cylinder block.

Installation
We install the cooling pump in the reverse order, replacing the pump gasket with a new one.
Note: Pumps with rubber sealing ring may be supplied as spare parts. No gasket is installed under such pumps.
