Recommendations:
- The brand of coolant recommended by the car manufacturer is listed in Appendix 2. Check with your car dealer for the brand of fluid filled into your car.
- Do not mix liquids of different colors and different manufacturers. If you do not know the brand of the liquid filled in, and the liquid needs to be topped up, replace all the liquid in the cooling system.
- Only use products from trusted manufacturers. Remember that the use of poor quality coolant leads to costly engine repairs!
- Before starting work, place the car on a flat horizontal surface.
Warning! Check the coolant level only on a cold engine. The coolant is toxic, so be careful when handling it.
Attention! Do not fill the reservoir above the mark «MAX», since when the engine is running, its volume will increase.
Attention! When starting the engine, the expansion tank cap must be closed.
Note. Keep an eye on the coolant level at all times. Its sharp decrease or increase should be a signal for an immediate check of the engine cooling system.
Note. If the freshly poured antifreeze suddenly suddenly quickly changed color to a reddish-brown, then you were sold a fake, in which «forgot» add corrosion inhibitors. Replace the fluid as soon as possible before it has had time to corrode the aluminum parts of the cooling system
The expansion tank is located on the left side of the engine compartment in the niche of the engine compartment lining.
1. The coolant level must be between the marks «MIN» And «MAX», applied to the wall of the expansion tank. If the level is much lower..
2.... unscrew the plug of the expansion tank..
3.... and add coolant to the required level.
4. Wrap a stopper of a broad tank.
Attention! Close the expansion tank cap tightly. When the engine is running, the expansion tank is under pressure, so coolant may leak from a loose cap.
