According to the manufacturer, the stroke of the parking lever should be:
  • when adjusted 2-4 clicks;
  • in operation 2-8 clicks.

The parking brake should hold the vehicle on a 25% slope when the lever inside the vehicle is moved 5-8 teeth (clicks) of the ratchet device.

1. To check that the parking brake is adjusted correctly, find a ramp or loading ramp of a height of 100 m near where your vehicle is parked N = 1.25 m at the length of the driveway L = 5 m. This ratio corresponds to a slope of 25%.

2. If there is no such ramp, for a simplified check of the parking brake, place the vehicle on a level surface. Place the gear shift lever in neutral position and fully lift the parking brake lever. Get out of the car and try to move it. If you have succeeded in this, you will need to urgently adjust the parking brake drive (see "Checking and adjusting the parking brake drive").
