Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Battery - Removal and Installation").
3. Remove the decorative steering column trims (see "Steering column trim - removal and installation").
4. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the left steering column switch.

5. Using a TORXT10 wrench, unscrew the two screws securing the left steering column switch.

6. Pull to the left to remove the switch from the connector.
7. Remove the immobilizer sensor from the ignition switch (see, "Ignition switch (lock) - checking, removal and installation").
8. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the right steering column switch.

9. Using a TORX T10 key, unscrew the two screws securing the right steering column switch.

10. Pulling to the right, remove the switch from the connector and remove it.
Installation
We install the steering column switches in the reverse order.
