The location and purpose of the switches installed in the instrument panel and in the floor tunnel trim are shown in the chapter "Controls and instrumentation". Depending on the configuration, some vehicles have front seat heating switches installed in the floor tunnel trim.
The reversing light switch is installed in the gearbox housing next to the starter. When reverse gear is engaged, the switch contacts close, supplying voltage to the corresponding lamps in the rear lights. Depending on the configuration, switches for the interior light are installed in the body pillars. The switches also serve as door open sensors.
The brake light switch is located under the instrument panel on the brake pedal bracket.
