Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the protective cap.
3. Use a thin slotted screwdriver to pry off the switch...
...and remove it from the body.
4. Press the latch, disconnect the wiring harness block and remove the switch.
5. With a multimeter in ohmmeter mode, we check the health of the switch. When the switch button is in the free position, all switch contacts must be closed, and when the button is pressed, open. Replace the defective switch.
Installation
1. Connect the wiring harness block to the switch.
2. We put a protective cap on the switch and fix it in the body.
