2. Pulling the latch towards you and overcoming the resistance, remove the switch.
3. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the switch.
Note: The cause of the malfunction may be oxidized switch terminals or contacts in the wiring block. We inspect them and, if necessary, treat them with a cleaning and protection agent for electrical contacts.

4. Using a multimeter in ohmmeter mode, we check the serviceability of the switch. When the switch button is in the free position, all switch contacts should be closed, and when the button is pressed, they should be open.
5. Replace the faulty switch.
6. Install the switch in reverse order.
