Removal
1. Remove the windshield wiper from the car (see p. 173, "Windscreen wiper - removal and installation").
2. Mark or remember the position of the crank relative to the windshield wiper rods.

3. Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the lever mounting nut.

4. Using a slotted screwdriver with a wide blade, pry up and remove the crank from the splines of the gear motor shaft.
5. Using a 10 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the three bolts securing the gear motor to the windshield wiper bracket.

6. Remove the gear motor from the bracket.

Installation
Warning! Before assembling the windshield wiper, make sure that the shaft of the new motor gearbox is in its original position. Otherwise, the windshield wiper will not function properly.
1. To install the shaft of the new gearmotor in its original position, connect the connector of its wiring harness to the corresponding connector on the vehicle ("Windscreen wiper - removal and installation") and briefly turn on the windshield wiper in intermittent mode. After the gear motor has completed a full cycle and stopped automatically, turn off the ignition and disconnect it from the vehicle's electrical circuit.
2. Install the crank on the motor-reducer shaft in accordance with the mark made during disassembly (or based on the position of the rods, see above). Using a 13 mm open-end wrench, tighten the crank mounting nut.
3. Install the windshield wiper on the car ("Windscreen wiper - removal and installation").
