Removing
1. Remove the wiper from the car (see c. 173, «Wiper - removal and installation»).
2. We mark or remember the position of the crank relative to the wiper rods.
3. Using a 13 mm wrench, unscrew the lever mounting nut.
4. With a slotted screwdriver with a wide blade, pry off and remove the crank from the splines of the gear motor shaft.
5. Using a 10 mm spanner, unscrew the three bolts securing the gear motor to the wiper bracket.
6. Remove the gear motor from the bracket.
Installation
Warning! Before assembling the wiper, make sure that the shaft of the new gear motor is in its original position. Otherwise, the correct operation of the wiper will not be possible.
1. To install the shaft of the new gearmotor in its original position, connect the block of its wiring harness to the corresponding block on the car («Wiper - removal and installation») and briefly turn on the wiper in intermittent mode. After the gear motor has completed a full cycle and automatically stops, turn off the ignition and disconnect it from the car's electrical circuit.
2. We install the crank on the shaft of the gearmotor in accordance with the mark made during disassembly (or guided by the position of the rods, see above). With a 13 mm ring wrench, we wrap the crank fastening nut.
3. Install the wiper on the car («Wiper - removal and installation»).
