Removal
1. Prepare the car for work and disconnect the terminal from the negative terminal of the battery ("Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a screwdriver, remove the plug from the windshield wiper arm.
3. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the windshield wiper arm mounting nut and remove the arm.
Advice: If the lever fits tightly on the shaft splines, then to avoid bending the shaft, screw the nut onto the thread and use sliding pliers to press the lever off the shaft.
4. Remove the second wiper arm in the same way.
5. Remove the air intake grille ("Lower Windshield Trim - Removal and Installation").
6. Release the holder of the connecting block of the windshield wiper motor-reducer.
7. Disconnect the windshield wiper wiring harness connector from the vehicle's electrical system.
8. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts 1 and nut 2 securing the windshield wiper.
9. Carefully remove the windshield wiper from the air intake box.
Installation
We install the windshield wiper in the reverse order.
Recommendation. If the wiper is new or has been repaired, the arms should be installed last. Before installing the levers, connect the windshield wiper to the vehicle's electrical system and turn on the intermittent mode. Once the wiper has completed a full cycle and stopped, turn it off. And only after this, set the levers in the lower position of the glass. If the levers cannot be adjusted so that the windshield wiper operates correctly, the crank on the motor-reducer shaft must be repositioned (see "Windscreen wiper - motor-reducer replacement".
