Note: It is more convenient to check the sensor with an assistant.
Examination
1. Prepare the car for work ("Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Turn on the ignition.
3. Pressing from above, we press the float rod of the sensor. At the same time, the low brake fluid level indicator light should come on on the instrument panel.

Recommendation. If the indicator lamp does not light, the terminals in the connector block may be oxidized or the sensor may be faulty. To verify that the sensor is faulty, it is enough to short-circuit the terminals of the junction block. If the indicator light comes on, the sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Removal
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

3. Unscrew the cap of the master brake cylinder reservoir. We remove the sensor float from the tank and remove the sensor.

4. Replace the faulty sensor as an assembly.
Installation
We install the sensor in the reverse order.
