Front bumper — removal and installation (Vesta 2180)

The front bumper consists of a decorative plastic trim and a reinforcement. As a rule, only the decorative cover breaks from a slight impact, which can be replaced separately.

It is more convenient to perform the work with an assistant on an inspection ditch or overpass.

Removal and installation the bumper cover

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. From underneath the car, use a TORX T30 key to unscrew the four mounting bolts.



3. Disconnect the front mudguards from the bumper cover (see "Front mudguard - removal and installation").

4. Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the fog lights (see "Fog Light - Bulb Replacement").



5. In the engine compartment, using a 10 mm wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the intake noise muffler.





6. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the bolt on the right...



...and three bolts for the left mounting of the trim.



7. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the two bolts of the front lining mount.



8. Disengage the side panels from the brackets.





9. Remove the bumper cover.



10. Install the bumper in reverse order.
