The catalog numbers of the power steering pump differ depending on the configuration of the vehicle. (See here).
Removing
Note. Replacing the power steering pump on engines of 8-cl. and 16-cl. performed similarly, with minor differences.
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift, apply the parking brake and turn off the ignition.
Remove the right front wheel.
Remove the right side and lower front fender mudguards.
Remove the engine crankcase protection.
Remove the accessory drive belt.
Install clamps on the low and high pressure lines to the power steering pump (clip Ms. 583 - 2 pcs.).

For vehicles with K7M engine equipped with air conditioning system.
Unscrew bolt 8, Figure 14-1, fastening the high-pressure pipeline to the bracket 6 of mounted units (interchangeable head 10, ratchet wrench).
For vehicles with K7M engine not equipped with air conditioning system.
Remove the front bumper.
For vehicles with K4M engine equipped with air conditioning system.
Unscrew the cap of the reservoir of the power steering pump and pump out the working fluid (hand pump, process tank).
Remove fuel rail guard.
Loosen the bolt securing the high pressure pipe to the cylinder block (interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench).
For vehicles with K4M engine not equipped with air conditioning system.
Disconnect wire terminal "masses" from the battery.
Loosen the two fuel rail protection nuts (nuts are located deep in the wells and are not visible in the photo).
Remove the fuel rail guard from the studs.
Loosen the bolt securing the high pressure pipe to the cylinder block (interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench).
The general procedure for performing work on the removal of the power steering pump.
Attention. When removing the power steering pump, take precautions to protect the generator from oil ingress.
Unclip clamp 2 and disconnect low pressure line 1 from power steering pump (clamp pliers Mot. 1202-02).
Unscrew fitting 4 and disconnect the high pressure line from the power steering pump (wrench 17).
Install process plugs in the power steering pump ports and piping to prevent fluid from escaping. (technological plugs).
Loosen bolts 5 (interchangeable head 10).
and 9 mounting the power steering pump to the bracket (nozzle replaceable Torx Т40).
remove power steering pump.
Installation
Install the power steering pump to the bracket and secure it with bolts. Do not tighten bolts (interchangeable head 13, interchangeable nozzle Torx T40, extension, ratchet wrench).
The scheme of tightening the bolts of the power steering pump
Bolt tightening pattern:
- tighten the bolts 5 for fastening the hydraulic pump from the side of the pump drive pulley;
- tighten the bolts 9 for fastening the hydraulic pump from the opposite side.
Bolt tightening torques:
- for vehicles with K7M engine - 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m) (interchangeable head 10, replaceable nozzle Torx T40, extension, ratchet wrench, torque wrench);
- for vehicles with K4M engine - 25 Nm (2.5 kgf·m) (interchangeable head 10, replaceable nozzle Torx T40, extension, ratchet wrench, torque wrench);
Remove the plugs from the low and high pressure lines and the power steering pump ports.
Attention. Before installing the pipelines, be sure to replace the O-rings on the pipeline fittings.
Install a new O-ring and connect the high pressure pipe fitting to the pump. Connector tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m) (wrench 17, interchangeable insert 17 type 58 21 10 17 f. "Stahlwille", torque wrench type 50 18 00 04 f. "Stahlwille").
Connect the low pressure pipe to the pump and secure with a clamp (clamp pliers Mot. 1202-02).
Remove the clamps from the low and high pressure lines.
Install the accessory drive belt.
For vehicles with K7M engine equipped with air conditioning system.
Screw in the bolt 8 fastening the high-pressure pipeline to the bracket 6 of the mounted units. Bolt tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m) (interchangeable head 10, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
For vehicles with K7M engine not equipped with air conditioning system.
Install the front bumper.
For vehicles with K4M engine equipped with air conditioning system.
Install the bolt in the lug of the high pressure pipe mounting bracket and secure the pipe by screwing the bolt into the corresponding hole on the cylinder block. Bolt tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m) (interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
Install fuel rail guard.
For vehicles with K4M engine not equipped with air conditioning system.
Install the bolt in the lug of the high pressure pipe mounting bracket and secure the pipe to the cylinder block. Bolt tightening torque 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m) (interchangeable head 13, ratchet wrench, torque wrench).
