Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift, apply the parking brake and turn off the ignition.
Remove the power steering pump.

Install the pump 4, figure 15-1, of the hydraulic booster in a vice 5 with the pulley facing up (bench vice with aluminum jaws).
Install stop 2 on the power steering pump shaft (technological stop with an outer diameter of 17 mm).
Install a universal sliding two-grip puller 1 into the pump pulley windows and remove pulley 3 (puller type 71 13 00 01 f. "Stahlwille").

Press the pulley onto the power steering pump shaft, ensuring the installation dimension X = 25.4 ±0.4 mm, as shown in Figure 15-3. Before pressing, lubricate the seating surface of the pulley and the threaded surface of the power screw of the pulley pressing device (pulley pressing device Dir. 1083-01, ring spanner 21, ring spanner 16, caliper).
Install the power steering pump.
