When the engine is running, the oil pressure warning light comes on
1. Low engine oil level in the engine crankcase. Check the engine oil level and top it up to the required level (see "Oil level - check").
2. The crankshaft speed at idle is below normal. Perform diagnostics of the engine management system (see "Checking the technical condition of the engine management system"). If necessary, update the ECU software ("reflash"). Check and, if necessary, replace the throttle assembly (see "Throttle assembly - removal, gasket replacement and installation"),
3. Short circuit in the "sensor - control lamp" circuit. Check the emergency oil pressure sensor and its electrical circuit. Restore the chain, replace faulty parts if necessary (see "Oil Pressure Sensor - Replacement").
4. The emergency oil pressure sensor is faulty. Check the oil pressure sensor, replace if faulty (see "Oil Pressure Sensor - Replacement").
5. Low oil pressure in the engine lubrication system due to wear of the crankshaft main bearings and/or oil pump. Check the technical condition of the engine (see "Oil pressure"). Repair the engine by replacing faulty parts.
The engine malfunction indicator light comes on when the engine is running
There is a malfunction in one of the engine systems. Perform a technical check of the engine (see "Engine - technical condition check").
The battery charge indicator lamp does not light when the ignition is turned on
1. The electrical circuit of the generator excitation winding is faulty. Check the generator circuit (see "Generator - check"). Treat electrical connectors with a product to clean and protect electrical contacts. Repair or replace the faulty generator (see "Generator - removal and installation").
2. The instrument panel is faulty. Replace the faulty instrument panel.
The turn signal indicator lamp flashes at double the frequency
The filament of one of the turn signal lamps burned out. Check the lamps of the external lighting devices and light signaling devices (see "Lighting, light and sound signaling"), replace the faulty lamp.
When the engine is running, the engine management system malfunction indicator lamp comes on (may be accompanied by deterioration in engine performance)
One of them is out of order (or several) elements of the engine control system or the electrical circuit is broken. Perform diagnostics of the engine management system. Correct the detected malfunction.
While driving, various control lights on the instrument panel light up
Perform diagnostics of the engine management system and other systems (see "Checking the technical condition of the engine management system"). Eliminate the detected malfunction.
