The car with an automatic transmission stopped shifting gears
1. The gear shift drive or gearbox control unit is faulty (see "Automatic transmission"). To determine the fault codes of the robotic gearbox, perform diagnostics of the control system using special diagnostic equipment. Eliminate the detected malfunction.
2. The clutch release drive is faulty (see "Clutch"). To determine the fault codes of the robotic gearbox, perform diagnostics of the control system using special diagnostic equipment. Eliminate the detected malfunction.
Reduced braking efficiency
1. Oiling of brake discs and brake shoe linings. Check the technical condition of the brake system (see "Brake system - checking technical condition"). Treat the discs with brake cleaner. Replace the brake pads (see "Front/Rear Brake Pads - Replacement").
2. The brake booster is faulty. Check the technical condition of the brake system (see "Brake system - checking technical condition"). Replace the faulty part.
3. ABS anti-lock braking system is faulty (the malfunction occurs when braking on a slippery surface or during emergency braking). The ABS malfunction indicator light on the instrument panel may come on. Using special diagnostic equipment, connect it to the diagnostic connector (see "Engine management system"), determine the ABS fault codes. Eliminate the detected fault.
