A monolithic ignition module is installed on the K7M engine, which consists of two two-terminal ignition coils and a two-channel switch.

Removal
Place the vehicle in a work area, apply the parking brake, turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire terminal from the battery.
Disconnect connector 1, Figure 11-19, of the wiring harness from ignition module 2.

Disconnect the 3 high-voltage wire ends from the ignition module.
Loosen bolts 1, Figure 11-20, securing the ignition module and remove ignition module 2 (torx T30 screwdriver).

Installation
Install ignition module 2, Figure 11-20, screw in and tighten bolts 1 for fastening the ignition coils. Tightening torque of bolts 15 Nm (1.5 kgf·m) (torx T30 screwdriver, Torx T30 replacement bit, extension, torque wrench).
Connect the tips 3, Figure 11-18, of the high-voltage wires to the ignition module.
Connect connector 1 of the wiring harness to the ignition module.
Connect the ground wire terminal to the battery.
