Removal
Place the vehicle on a work stand, apply the parking brake, turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire terminal from the battery (spanner 10).
Loosen the two screws securing the steering column covers and, overcoming the force of the clamps, remove the upper and lower steering column covers (torx T20 screwdriver).

Disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connector from the transponder receiving coil and remove the coil from the ignition switch housing.

Remove the ignition switch wiring harness connector from the holder on the instrument panel crossmember reinforcement.
Disconnect the ignition switch wiring harness connector from the instrument cluster wiring harness connector (flat head screwdriver).
Loosen screw 1, Figure 5-2, securing the ignition switch to the steering column (torx T20 screwdriver).

Set key 3, Figure 5-3, of the ignition switch to position 1, press in locks 3, Figure 5-2, and remove ignition switch 2.
Installation
Caution: The screw that secures the ignition switch to the steering column must not be reused. The screw must be replaced.
Set the ignition switch key to position 1, Figure 5-3.
Install the ignition switch on the steering column and secure it with a screw (torx T20 screwdriver).
Connect the ignition switch wiring harness connector to the instrument panel wiring harness connector and secure the connectors in the holder on the instrument panel cross member reinforcement.
Install the transponder receiving coil on the ignition switch and connect the instrument panel harness connector to it.
Install the upper and lower steering column covers and secure with two screws (torx T20 screwdriver).
Connect the ground wire terminal to the battery (spanner 10).
Present the vehicle to the Quality Control Department. The Quality Control Department will check the vehicle for compliance with the requirements of TU 017200-254-00232934, paragraphs 1.19.20, 1.19.21 in the scope of work performed.
