The key in the ignition switch can be in the following positions:
A (STOP) — blocking. The following power consumers are connected: external lighting, low and high beam headlights, hazard warning lights, sound signal. The key can only be inserted or removed in this position.
When the key is removed, the steering shaft is locked (to lock, you need to turn the steering wheel slightly to the right or left until the locking device is activated). To unlock the steering shaft, insert the key into the ignition switch and, slightly turning the steering wheel to the right and left, move the key to position A.
Warning! When the vehicle is moving, do not turn off the engine or remove the key from the ignition, as this will lock the steering wheel and cause you to lose control of the vehicle.
In (ACC) - auxiliary consumers of electricity are included. The following power consumers are connected: external lighting, low and high beam headlights, hazard warning lights, horn and audio system.
Warning: Do not leave the key in position A for a long time, as this may drain the battery.
C (ON) - ignition on. The electrical circuits of all consumers except the starter are connected;
Recommendation. Before starting the engine (by turning the key to position D) pause for a few seconds (especially after a long period of parking). This will allow the fuel pump to create the necessary pressure in the fuel rail and facilitate engine starting.
D (START) — starter. The position is intended for starting the engine (starter is on). After starting the engine, release the key - it will automatically return to position C.
Warning: Before turning the key to position D, make sure the gearshift lever is in neutral.
Note: The ignition switch (lock) is equipped with a lock against repeated operation (erroneous) starter activation. Therefore, if the engine does not start on the first attempt, then to restart it, you must first turn off the ignition (turn the key to position A).
