The key in the ignition lock can occupy the following positions:
A (STOP) - blocking. The following consumers of electricity are connected: outdoor lighting, dipped and main beam headlights, alarm, sound signal. The key can only be inserted or removed in this position.
When the key is removed, the steering shaft is blocked (to lock it is necessary to turn the steering wheel slightly to the right or left until the locking device is activated). To unlock the steering shaft, insert the key into the ignition lock and, slightly turning the steering wheel left and right, move the key to position A.
Warning! Do not turn off the engine or remove the key from the ignition while the vehicle is moving, as this will lock the steering wheel and cause you to lose control of the vehicle.
IN (ACC) - auxiliary consumers of electricity are turned on. The following consumers of electricity are connected: outdoor lighting, dipped and main beam headlights, alarm, horn and audio system.
Warning! Do not leave the key in position A for a long time, as this may lead to battery discharge.
WITH (ON) - ignition on. The electrical circuits of all consumers are connected, except for the starter;
Recommendation. Before starting the engine (by turning the key to position D) pause for a few seconds (especially after a long stop). This will allow the fuel pump to pressurize the fuel rail and make it easier to start the engine.
D (START) — starter. Position intended to start the engine (starter included). After starting the engine, release the key - it will automatically return to position C.
Warning! Make sure the shift lever is in neutral before turning the key to position D.
Comment. Switch (lock) ignition is equipped with an interlock against repeated (erroneous) turning on the starter. Therefore, if the engine does not start on the first attempt, then to restart, you must first turn off the ignition (turn the key to position A).
