Immobilizer (anti-theft device) (Vesta 2180)

The car is equipped with a standard anti-theft system - an immobilizer. When the key is inserted into the ignition switch, a special immobilizer sensor reads the secret code from it.



If the chip in the key is not recognized by the sensor, the anti-theft system will not allow the engine to start.

Note: The system may not identify the code of the key in the ignition switch if there is a second key near the switch, or if the key has been stored near metal or magnetic objects.

Note: If you lose your keys, please contact an authorized center.

Warning: Do not expose the key to direct sunlight or high humidity. Do not drop keys or place heavy objects on them.

The immobilizer is not compatible with the remote engine start system. Equipping a vehicle with such a system may lead to problems with starting the engine and loss of anti-theft security.
