Note: To perform this work, you will need a special belt installation tool 67.7834-9703. In extreme cases, the belt can be carefully installed without the tool, being careful not to damage it.
To carry out the work, you will need an inspection pit or overpass.
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work ("Preparing the car for maintenance and repair") and shift the gearbox into neutral position.
2. Remove the right part of the engine mudguard ("Powertrain mounts").
3. Using a knife, cut the belt and remove the remains.
4. First, place the new belt on the generator pulley.
5. Then we place the lower branch of the belt on the crankshaft pulley and, pressing the belt against the pulley, use a 17 mm socket wrench to turn the crankshaft clockwise until the belt is put on the pulley.
