Anti-roll bar cushion — replacement (Vesta 2180)

The need to perform work is determined during the inspection of the condition of the front suspension (see "Checking the technical condition of the front suspension").

To carry out the work, you will need an inspection pit or overpass.

Sequence of execution

1. Place the vehicle on an inspection ditch or overpass and prepare it for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Clean the stabilizer bar mounting bolts.

Warning! Replace the struts only when the stabilizer is in a relaxed state (both front wheels are suspended or evenly loaded with the weight of the vehicle).

3. Using an 18 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two mounting bolts...



...and remove the stabilizer bar mounting bracket.



5. Remove the pad from the barbell.

6. Install the new cushion in the reverse order. Tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 180 Nm.

7. Replace the second pillow in the same way.
