Adjusting the position of the trunk lid lock (Priora 2170)

If the trunk lid has vertical play when closed or is difficult to close, adjust the height of the lock.

You will need: a socket wrench (head) "on 10", a screwdriver with a flat blade, pliers.



1. Loosen the tie rod mounting screw.



2. If the end of the rod is bent, straighten it.



3. Loosen the three lock mounting nuts, after removing its trim.





4. Move the lock in the desired direction and tighten the rod mounting screw. Check the ease of locking the lock. Repeat adjustment if necessary. After this, finally tighten the lock mounting nuts.

5. If the latch does not engage with the lock latch when closing the trunk lid (a thud is heard and the lid closes with great force), loosen the two mounting bolts and move the retainer in the desired direction. Check the ease of locking the lock. Repeat adjustment if necessary. After this, finally tighten the retainer mounting bolts.
