1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Use a screwdriver to pry up the five pins securing the lock trim…

3. …and remove the trim.

4. Disconnect the power supply wiring harness connector of the lock lock motor reducer.

5. Remove the two screws securing the gear motor to the inner panel of the trunk lid.

6. Disconnect the gear motor rod from the lock drive rod and remove the gear motor.

7. Remove the rod.

8. Use a screwdriver to pry up the end of the rod coming from the lock switch…

9. …and disconnect the rod from the lock drive lever.

10. Use a screwdriver to pry up the rod…

11. …and disconnect it from the lock switch.

12. Slide to the left and remove the lock switch bracket.

13. Remove the lock switch from the hole in the trunk lid.

14. Loosen the tightening screw of the rod mounting. Mark the position of the lock on the trunk lid.

15. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three nuts securing the lock…

16. …and remove the lock by removing the rod from the lock drive leash.

17. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the lock drive lever…

18. …and remove the lever.

Note: This is what the trunk lid lock and its drive parts look like when removed from the car.
19. Before installing a new lock, lubricate its rubbing surfaces with consistent grease.
20. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
