Attention! Work is carried out after the additional muffler has cooled down to a safe temperature.
To perform the work, you will need a viewing ditch or overpass
Removing
1. We prepare the car for work («Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. We clean the threaded connections of the jet thrust with a metal brush and treat with a penetrating lubricant.
3. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the bracket.
4. Remove the bracket.
5. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the bolt securing the jet thrust to the base of the ball joint of the gear lever, holding the bolt nut with a 13 mm spanner wrench. Similarly, we turn off the second bolt of the jet thrust.
6. We remove the thrust from the support of the gear lever.
7. With a 13 mm wrench, we loosen the tightening of the jet thrust clamp. Having disconnected the SS tip from the rod, remove the rod.
8. If necessary, use a 19 mm socket wrench to unscrew the two nuts securing the jet thrust bracket, holding the bolt heads with a wrench of the same size. We remove the bracket assembly with the jet thrust tip.
Installation
We install jet thrust in reverse order.
