Recommendation. Spark plugs should be replaced every 30,000 km. It is necessary to use spark plugs A17DVRM or their foreign analogues - LR15 YC-1 (BRISK) and WR7DCX (BOSCH).


To complete the job, you will need a special 21 mm spark plug socket wrench.

Sequence of execution



1. Disconnect the high-voltage wire of the spark plugs ("High Voltage Wires - Checking and Replacing").

2. Wipe with a rag and blow compressed air from a tire pump at the spark plug installation site (to prevent sand from getting into the cylinder after removing the spark plug).

3. Using a 21 mm spark plug socket wrench, unscrew the spark plug.

4. Before installing the spark plug, use a set of round feeler gauges to check the gap between its electrodes. The gap should be 1.0-1.15 mm.

5. Adjust the gap by bending the side electrode.



Warning! To avoid damaging the threads in the cylinder head, first tighten the spark plug by hand and then tighten it by inserting the handle into the wrench extension. Spark plug tightening torque 30-40 Nm.


6. Screw the spark plug into the cylinder head.

7. Similarly, we replace the spark plugs of the remaining cylinders and connect the high-voltage wires to them.
